As a street bear RB never really knew who his real bear family were. It seemed they were lost somewhere in his dark and shadowy past, during those turbulent times before he was rescued (we know that’s how he lost his ear too, but he won’t talk about it, not even to me). When he became a social media savvy bear though something rather amazing happened. RB discovered that he was not only a Teddy Bear but also a Plushie. Not only that but there were tons of Plushies all over the world and they all wanted to be friends with RB, he soon found he was part of a massive online Plushie Community!

What happened next was truly magical and I’m not going to lie, a little bit emotional. Rescue had a private message from a special little bear who looked just like him… a Charmin bear, it turned out he wasn’t the only one either, there were lots and lots all over the world, a whole long lost family of bears who all looked a little bit like our Rescue. Well, you just couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried! As if all this wasn’t enough whilst carrying out his duties as a theatre mascot at Salisbury Playhouse RB chanced upon his first actual family member ‘in the fur’. Lodging at a charity shop was the small but perfectly formed Nephew Bear (NB for short) RB was an uncle, who knew?!

Talk about totes emosh! NB came to live with RB of course and it wasn’t long before other family members joined the party too, like HRH Great Aunty Bear and the ever eccentric OB. RB is a proper family bear these days, mind you he’ll always be a lone wolf at heart, one eye forever on the open road ahead.
